Hashtag #ARTSY

RECEPTION: Saturday December 19 4pm - 6pm

Hashtag #ARTSY, is part of a community initiative by Yak Arts to create creative opportunities for local artists of all ages. This year we reached out to students of the Light House Charter School's Junior Honors Art Society. The concept behind this art show is to give young people within the community the opportunity to show the art that they are proud of, without limiting them to medium or scale. It provides a chance for them to show work in a working retail gallery, and find their feet, hopefully reinforcing artistic confidence in an environment that is truly distinct. Their work will hang to be sold alongside that of some of the masters, whose work we have acquired on the secondary market.
